This year 3-5th graders who have expressed an interest in or who have shown a particular interest in the arts and who have good behavior can join the Art Club. They will do ceramics, set design, ceiling tile paintings, and we may take a trip to the HIGH. The art club will provide students with an in depth opportunity to explore art making and art mediums that is not possible within the confines of the regularly scheduled art classes.
Meetings: The club meets every Friday from 2:30 to 5:00 pm. Dress appropriately for art making. Bring a snack. Have good behavior and a positive attitude.

The National Beta Club and Junior Beta Club
The Motto "Let Us Lead by Serving Others."
This motto, more than simply a catchy phrase, states the philosophy upon which The National Beta Club is based. Service to others is indeed one of the most important characteristics of Beta Club membership. Students have the precious Opportunity to learn the gift of serving others in many different capacities. We not only serve here at Liberty point but across the city. These unique assets should be found in every school and community situation, whether large or small-urban, suburban or rural. There are needs that could and should be addressed by Beta members in every school and community.
The Mission: To promote the concept of character, service, and leadership among students, and to reward students for their outstanding academic achievement.
How do I join the Beta Club? Students are invited to become a Junior Beta member at the beginning of their 5th grade year. The student also must have the recommendations of their teachers and maintain an A/B average in all classes to continue in the Junior Beta Club.
Meetings: The Club meets twice a month and sometime more often depending on service project activities. The meetings are normally on every other Thursday of each month from 2:30 to 4:00 P. M.
Sponsors: The club Sponsors are Ms. Wilborn, Mrs. Johnson, and Dr. Owens.
