Our Teachers

  • The average teacher at High Point has been educating children for over 12 years
  • Forty-two percent of teachers at High Point have earned their Master's degree

All teachers receive professional development and meet collaboratively every week to provide an excellent education for our students.  Our whole staff is passionate, knowledgeable, and caring.  They strive to make High Point a warm and safe environment where children are able to strive for excellence.

High Point's 3rd and 5th grade students took the ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) this past October however we currently have not received our scores. Scores from 2014 are listed below:

3rd Grade

Overall, Fulton County scored 64% in Reading and 69% in Math.

HPES scores for 2014:

  • 74% in Reading  - up 6 points
  • 77% in Math  - up 6 points
  • 71% in Language Arts  - down 1 point
  • 79% in Social Studies  - up 4 points
  • 78% in Science  - up 5 points

5th Grade

Overall, Fulton County scored 61% in Reading and 67% in Math

HPES scores:

  • 70% in Reading  - up 5 points
  • 71% in Math  - down 1 point
  • 67% in Language Arts  - down 4 points
  • 73% in Social Studies  - down 3 points
  • 74% in Science  - up 3 points
