Dear Mountain Park Families,
I want to warmly welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year. I'm your same assistant principal; I just have a new last name! This past summer I got married, and I became Mrs. Padak.
I am thrilled to begin another year here at Mountain Park as your assistant principal. This is a close community with eager students, supportive parents, and dedicated teachers, and I enjoy being a part of it. I am committed to making sure that every student at MPE continues to have the opportunity to reach their potential and attend school in an environment that promotes success, ensures safety, and cultivates a love of learning.
I have lived in the North Fulton area for most of my life, and I am a proud product of Fulton County Schools. My educational experiences in this county inspired me to be part of the teaching profession. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, received a Masters degree in Elementary Education at Kennesaw State University, and completed my Specialist degree in Educational Leadership at Valdosta State University. Before coming to Mountain Park Elementary, I was a fifth grade teacher at Alpharetta Elementary School and the 2013 Fulton County Teacher of the Year. This honor led me to wonderful opportunities as well as a strong desire to have an impact on an entire school community. I am excited to share my energy and passion for education with all of you this year.
I am committed to ensuring that your students receive the best academic and social support, and I am excited to continue the work with our schoolwide enrichment, design thinking, and Reading and Writing Workshop. Please feel free to stop at my office to say hello, as my door is always open! I wish your family, and especially your student, great success during this new school year.
