I want to start by expressing how deeply grateful I am to serve as the leader of this great Academy. I am certain that this will be a life-changing experience like no other for the students of Fulton County who have been chosen to represent their five home schools: Banneker, Tri-Cities, Langston Hughes, Creekside, and Westlake. We have worked tirelessly to create an environment and an experience that will prepare them to being model, career-ready citizens who will voyage on a year-long process of discovering some of Georgia’s vastly growing careers all with equal preparation for college. We anticipate that this will be a school year filled with great opportunities that will promote challenge, inquiry, and high levels of academic and professional growth.

Fulton Schools College and Career Academy was designed to provide learning opportunities that simulate real-world industry education in the areas of Construction, Audio/Video, Film, Work-Based Learning, Teaching as a Profession, Culinary Arts, and Aviation. We are certain that this will be an experience of a lifetime as some of the many benefits of each pathway include apprenticeships, job shadowing, skills showcases, industry-related travel, student-led businesses, student leadership competitions, film festivals, and executive banquets both in and out of the State of Georgia. We, however, are most excited about the unique opportunity students have to acquire industry certifications, college admissions and credits, and on-the-job training in real industry occupations!

Students at the Fulton Schools College and Career Academy will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to transition to the next phase of their post-secondary life. Our ultimate vision for every student is to enable and empower them to excel in our foundational PCCLI frameworks: Professionalism, Character, Collaboration, Leadership, and Innovation. We are convinced that the knowledge and skills gained and cultivated here will serve as the groundwork for future success.
