Tri-Cities High School - School Governance Council (SGC)
Purpose of School Governance Council (SGC)
The purpose of the School Governance Council (SGC) is to provide parents, school staff, and community members with a leadership role in the management of the school. The School Governance Council is a governing body that is representative of the community and the school, but operates under the control and management of the Board of Education. The Council is responsible for making decisions regarding the strategic direction of the school including:
Tri-Cities High School's Request for Flexabilites 2016 - 2017
Requests for Flexibilities (RFFs) are proposals to the Superintendent to waive one or more state laws or district policies in order to implement a school-based strategy that aligns with the school's strategic plan. According to School Governance Council Policy, all RFFs must undergo a 30-day Public Comment period before the School Governance Council votes on whether or not to request the flexibility from Superintendent Rose who ultimately has the final approval authority.
