RTMS is expanding the use of SmartWaiver as a way to efficiently collect information from Parents\Guardians without having to send home excess paperwork. The first usage for this year is streamlining the "permissions" you give for your child – Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT), Code of Conduct, student directory information, publicity release, sweep bus, etc. Prior to the first day of school, please go to https://www.smartwaiver.com/v/rtms2015/ and complete the requested information for your child.
This year, River Trail has embraced digital citizenship as an important part of educating today’s students. River Trail has been using Common Sense Education’s research based digital-citizenship and literacy resources, created in collaboration with Dr. Howard Gardner of the GoodPlay Project at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The resources teach students, educators, and parents tangible skills related to Internet safety, protecting online reputations and personal privacy, managing online relationships, and respecting creative copyright.
Our school believes that preparing students to use technology safely and responsibly is an essential commitment as FCS leverage educational technology to personalize learning and boost student engagement. It is an honor to be recognized as a Common Sense Digital Citizenship: Certified School.
